Message decent amount of seat track time. I'm not going to be the 53rd card in the deck, here - that's what jokers are for; but I will say that if the weather is 80+F out during a track event, nine times out of ten I have to lay off the boost and short shift to keep from overheating. Most of our dry track days it's over 90, and our turbo cars are short-lived. Intercooler efficiencies, in my experience, suck ass, and are far from 75% after a few short pulls. My best track experience was on a stock motor with Sport500s at about 15psi at Laguna Seca last December with Sacto. It was only 60F out, just enough to get great traction and keep the car cool. Short of driving at Laguna Seca 10x/year at $300 a pop, the other tracks in the desert need another solution.

I want the most efficient car possible while running the turbos at or below their efficiency point. I recently ran 12psi on the GT28RS/.64 and it still overheated in 95+ weather. Short of buying a new Z06, the choices for a powerful (read: not just fast around the track a la Miata) track car are limited and challenging.

I'm going back to my NA.

Best,
SS
